OC Parks will host its Woof Xtravaganza at Mason Regional Park in Irvine on May 19 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The day is fully dedicated to celebrate your dog for the joy they've given you, and will be packed with services to keep them in good health!
This event is free and will feature more than 30 local vendors who will show doggie demonstrations, training, care and grooming tips, Q&A sessions and much more. A few special guests attending are the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Search and Rescue, who will accompany the Bloodhound Team, and the American Kennel Club, who will be seeking contestants for their Canine Good Citizen Program. Southern California Veterinary Vaccine Clinic will also provide inexpensive microchipping, vaccinations and deworming.
While your dog gets pampered, enjoy gourmet food trucks such as, Spudrunners and The Lime Truck. Emma Zen, the canine actor-model-biker dog, will also make an appearance on her motorcycle at 10 a.m. to support the Team O2 pet oxygen masks. Also, Dachschund races will be held for your entertainment! For those who have never discovered the joy of owning a dog or simply want to add a new addition, multiple local pet rescue organizations will be onsite offering dogs for adoption and to take home that day.
And for everyone’s safety, dogs are asked to be leashed at all times with no longer than a 6-foot leash. Remember to bring cash because some pet vendors only accept that as payment for their services and products.
